Brass
Private Instruction
Private lessons are offered on
trumpet, horn, trombone, euphonium, and tuba. All lessons are taught by the
Truman faculty who are accomplished performers on their individual instruments
of the brass family. Music majors and music minors have applied study included
in their degree requirements but non-music majors may also study privately if
there is space available.

Ensemble Participation
Students
are invited to audition for
Brass Choir,
Wind Symphony,
Symphony Orchestra,
Jazz Ensembles,
Jazz Combos,
Statesmen Marching Band,
Basketball Pep Band, Brass Quintets,
Trumpet Ensemble, Horn Choir, Trombone

majors and non-music majors based on yearly auditions that determine
the personnel of each group.
