Music Computing Lab
Truman State University has two music technology labs. The Music Computing Lab is equipped with thirteen iMac works stations. Each station is fully networked and has a suite of music creation and education software installed. Each station also has recording and printing capabilities and is connected to a MIDI controller. This lab is used primarily by music students taking courses in theory, composition, arranging, vocal diction, applied music (for SmartMusic), and band pedagogy. Students interested in workin as staff in the lab for scholarship, work-study, or GSE hours can contact Dr. Gran (email@example.com).
Electronic Music Studio
The Electronic Music Studio is available for more advanced technological applications in composition, arranging, recording, and production. It contains a Mac Pro work stations equipped with an Mackie MCU Pro mixing interface. there are also 3 27" iMac. E of the four computers also is equipped with a Korg Triton synthesizer. Some of the installed software includes Logic, Digital Performer, Sound Studio, Sibelius, and Finale. It is also the home of the Electronic Music Working Group.
