Truman State University has two music technology labs. The Music Computing Lab is equipped with thirteen iMac works stations. Each station is fully networked and has a suite of music creation and education software installed. Each station also has recording and printing capabilities and is connected to a MIDI controller. An additional Mac Pro work station is available for specialized recording and dubbing. This lab is used primarily by music students taking courses in theory, composition, arranging, vocal diction, applied music (for SmartMusic), band pedagogy and other areas.
The Electronic Music Studio is available for more advanced technological
applications in composition,
arranging, recording, and production. It contains four
Mac Pro work stations,
each equipped with a Korg Triton synthesizer. Some of the installed
software includes Finale, Digital Performer, and Sound Studio.
